Santosh Bhartiya is credited for revolutionizing the nature and approach of present-day television in India, especially election coverage, by making it people-centric rather than leader and political party-centric. His pioneering idea of directly involving voters and common people during the assembly elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Chhattisgarh in 2003 compelled all other TV channels to follow suit during the Lok Sabha Election of 2004.
As one of India's first TV journalists and the Chief Editor of Chauthi Duniya — the first Sunday newspaper in Hindi journalism — Mr. Bhartiya has broken more than 100 investigative news stories that remained un-contradicted and unchallenged.

Journalism at RAVIVAR & The Telegraph
Started his journalistic career at Hindi weekly RAVIVAR (Anand Bazar Patrika group), then became Special Correspondent of The Telegraph. Conducted the first-ever interview of Phoolan Devi and pioneered investigative field reporting in India.
First TV Journalist — Doordarshan
Became one of India's first TV journalists as Special Correspondent of News Line, the first news and current affairs programme on Doordarshan, making a furor in electronic media.
Chief Editor — Chauthi Duniya
Founded and served as Chief Editor of Chauthi Duniya, the first Sunday newspaper in Hindi journalism. Broke the Hashimpura killings story during the Meerut riots, which was republished worldwide.
Elected to 9th Lok Sabha — Former MP
Elected to the 9th Lok Sabha of Indian Parliament from Farrukhabad Constituency, Uttar Pradesh, becoming a Former Member of Parliament. Also served as a member of the Press Council of India.
Headline World & Election Coverage Revolution
Founded news agency Headline World and worked as Consulting Editor of H.I.F.E. Revolutionized election coverage in 2003 by making it voter-centric, setting a new standard for Indian television journalism.

Santosh Bhartiya is a pioneer journalist in the field of investigative journalism and field reporting. He has broken more than 100 news stories which finally remained un-contradicted and unchallenged. More than 1000 renowned stories are accounted in the name of Mr. Bhartiya.
Chauthi Duniya became the leading light for humane, secular and logical journalism among the Hindi media. It was the only paper of its kind whose news items were reproduced several times in the English media. Many of the leading lights in electronic and print media today have their roots from Chauthi Duniya.
The Former Member of Parliament
During the announcement of elections for the 9th Lok Sabha of Indian Parliament, Santosh Bhartiya was elected from the Farrukhabad Constituency of Uttar Pradesh and became a Member of Indian Parliament. He also became a member of the Press Council of India.
His sojourn with politics was for a short span of time and he again returned to his old calling — journalism. Mr. Bhartiya started a news agency Headline World, which had the membership of all the non-metro newspapers of India. He worked as Consulting Editor of H.I.F.E and was an advisor of a 24-hour Indian news channel.
